REPORT // 18051 DATE // 18.05.2026

Welcome to Meet the Cosplayer, where I introduce you to some of the fantastic, creative talent within the Rainbow Six: Siege community. This series is meant to showcase the amazing cosplayers no matter their skill level or experience.

I sat down and spoke with cosplayer German_Caveira about her history with cosplay, what got her into it, the challenges she faced and other things.

German_Caveira, aka Kimmy, is 24-yo freelance videographer and photographer from Germany.

What got you interested in cosplay?

“My very first video game cosplay was Tristana from League of Legends (2015), and working on the cosplay with my mom back then was so much fun! But we were always happy when there was a reason to dress up in costumes. I started cosplaying Siege when someone said I looked like Ash (because of my long red hair at the time), and then I started cosplaying R6 in 2017.”

How long have you been cosplaying for?

“I’ve been cosplaying since 2015, but even before that I used to dress up as movie characters or comic book characters.”

What has been the most difficult part about cosplaying for you?

“In the past, it was actually my limited pocket money. Back then, I received financial assistance from the community for my Ash cosplay. Now it’s less about the money and more about the time and, above all, the space I lack in my apartment. I would love to have a hobby room where I could store all my cosplay stuff and craft in peace.”

When cosplaying, what have been three most important things for you to have with you?

“Fixing spray, my cav makeup, and my phone!”

When you started cosplaying, what was an obstacle or challenge that you encountered?

“Unfortunately, I can’t sew at all :’) My mom always helped me back then, but sadly she passed away a few years ago. We always loved dressing up and coming up with costumes. Unfortunately, I didn’t inherit her talent for sewing, but I did inherit her passion!”

What advice would you give to people wanting to start cosplay for the first time?

“It doesn’t always have to be expensive! Be creative, think outside the box, and find solutions for your cosplay that fit your budget!”
